Bossong Engineering is committed to providing and maintaining a Safe and Healthy working environment for its employees, visitors and customers.

In demonstrating our duty of care, we will make every reasonable effort to provide a working environment that minimises incidents of risk or personal injury, harm to health or damage to property. In order to meet these objectives, we will:

• Provide employees at all levels with appropriate training, instruction, information and supervision for the operations of their role to be fulfilled and relevant duties of care within Work Health Safety Legislation to be observed.
• Establish key performance indicators and reporting to assess and review and strive for continuous improvement in the aim of eliminating work related injury or illness.
• Provide and maintain safe plant and equipment and systems of work.
• Consult regularly with personnel on health and safety issues and give employees and customers the opportunity to participate in health and safety decisions.

Bossong Engineering recognises that a safe working culture is the responsibility of everyone and can best be achieved through cooperative efforts of all personnel involved in the business undertaking. A safe work culture will be reinforced through:

• Continually identifying, assessing and controlling possible risks to the health and a safety that may arise in the workplace.
• Providing a means of communication, sharing information and engaging in consultation regarding Health and Safety at Monthly Safety Meetings.
• Ensuring that contractors, their employees, visitors and customers are required to observe and comply with all health and safety rules and management systems and that their actions do not put the health and safety of any person at risk.

This policy confirms the commitment of Bossong Engineering to comply with current Work Health Safety Legislation in Western Australia, being the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1984 and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations of 1996.  It creates a frame on which the Health and Safety management System will be implemented.
