Bossong Engineering is the leader in stabiliser repairs in WA. Through our hardfacing knowhow, we use Plasma Transferred Arc (PTA) technology combined with quality consumables to extend the lifespan of stabilisers.
We perform two types of stabiliser repairs:
- Alloy steel “Mag” (4130/4140/414), and
- “Non-mag” (precipitation hardened stainless)
Bossong Engineering has a diverse range of hardfacing consumables at its disposal. For stabilisers a blend of Nickel Silicon Boron is mixed with our specialised tungsten carbide which is spherical in shape. This blend has been developed over the last 15 years and when applied robotically provides a superior lifespan compared with alternative products in severe drilling environments.
